The “Minorities Are Major” Hockey Jersey features a mesh body and tackle twill embroidered details.

This jersey is inspired by Willie O’Ree, the first Black player in the NHL. He initially played for the Boston Bruins, hence the yellow/black color palette.

”19” is a reference to Juneteenth (June 19, 1865) which is the day enslaved African-Americans in Texas were notified of their freedom. Ironically, the Emancipation Proclamation was in 1863 so they had been free for 2 years already but were unaware.

“X” is a reference to Tribe X, but also a nod to Civil Rights leader Malcolm X.
